Each Christmas, Oliver filled our home with laughter as he gleefully tore into presents, creating a merry chaos of torn wrapping paper. Despite his small stature, he left no gift unscathed. His mischievous antics brought joy, shifting the focus from the presents to the happiness he spread.

Festive Folly Pattern

Oliver & Wednesday is a heartfelt pattern design collection inspired by cherished memories of beloved pets. From the playful antics of Oliver, a spirited mini dachshund, to the gentle presence of Wednesday, a sweet black cat, these patterns reflect the profound bond between humans and their furry companions.

After the loss of both pets within weeks of each other, I channeled my grief and love into creating this collection. Each design serves as a tribute to their unique personalities and the joy they brought into our lives, celebrating the deep and enduring connection we share with our pets.

Oliver rarely left the house, but he enjoyed (or at least tolerated) dog beach. Though he was the smallest and avoided other dogs, he loved walking on the sand and spending time with our family. This pattern is a tribute to those cherished moments.

Dog Beach Pattern

This pattern holds a profound significance as it's crafted from Wednesday's whiskers, lovingly preserved before her departure. Each heart shape is a testament to our bond, delicately formed by dipping her whiskers in India ink.

Whisker Hearts Pattern

This pattern is a tribute to Wednesday, my cherished first cat. Through her, I found a deep love for felines and learned invaluable lessons in pet care.

For My First Cat Pattern

This pattern serves as a homage to the symbolic 'Rainbow Bridge,' a threshold that marks the passage of our beloved pets into the afterlife.

Rainbow Bridge Pattern

Wednesday was a catnip aficionado,
watching her playful antics with it remains some of my fondest memories.

Catnip Antics Pattern

An homage to Oliver, our cherished brown and tan mini dachshund, who enriched our lives with his quirky personality and unwavering love.

Playful Doxie Pattern

This intricate floral pattern embodies the nuanced experience of pet ownership, capturing its dual nature. While flowers traditionally symbolize celebration, they also serve as poignant symbols of solace during times of mourning.

This pattern finds its roots in the paw print molds cherished from Oliver and Wednesday's passing, offering a tangible keepsake of their memory.

Wednesday

Oct 2017 - Jan 2024

Wednesday, our sweet black cat with a touch of white fur on her chest, joined our family in 2020 when she was 3 years old. Though initially shy and scared due to her unsettled past, she quickly became my little shadow. She was gentle, affectionate and very talkative. Despite minor health issues, Wednesday thrived in our care for the first two years.

In July 2023, we discovered she had congenital heart disease, and she sadly passed away in early 2024. Her time with us was short, but she profoundly impacted our lives. The numerous vet visits and witnessing her decline were heart-wrenching, but knowing we gave her all our love and the best possible life made it worthwhile. This pattern is dedicated to the memory of our beloved Wednesday, who will forever remain in our hearts.

Oliver

July 2006 - Dec 2023

Oliver, our beloved brown and tan mini dachshund, joined our family when I was about 12 years old. His love for people, combined with his quirky traits—disliking other dogs, easy jealousy, constant barking, stubbornness, a passion for ham, and a love for snuggling—made him an unforgettable character. Despite his mischievous nature, Oliver's short legs and big personality filled our home with laughter and joy. He lived a long, happy, and spoiled life, passing away at the remarkable age of 17.5 years. Oliver will always hold a special place in our family.
